Program Overview

This advanced online program is designed for aspiring and working educators who are passionate about teaching English to speakers of other languages. The Master of Education (M.Ed.) with TESOL, offered by Asian College of Teachers in collaboration with East Bridge University, provides a comprehensive understanding of TESOL concepts such as grammar, phonology, instructional strategies, classroom management, and effective lesson planning.
The program blends theoretical foundations with hands-on application, ensuring that educators are well-prepared to teach English across diverse age groups and cultural contexts. Special focus is given to Business English, covering need analysis, adult learning principles, course design, and material development. Learners will also gain strategies to manage large, multicultural classrooms and foster engaging, learner-centered environments. This globally recognized degree empowers teachers with the skills and confidence to make a meaningful impact both inside and beyond the classroom

Duration

Complete the full program of study in minimum duration of 12 months, and a maximum duration of up to 24 months.
Those unable to complete the program within the stipulated time will be given a grace period of 1 year.
The student would be required to pay a maintenance bench fee to finish his/her degree within that grace period.
Since the course offers flexible learning opportunity, learn at you own pace from anywhere around the world
Students can attend 6 Live Online Webinar Sessions during the entire program from expert teachers at no additional cost.

All of our Master programs under Faculty of Education have four distinct parts:

Part One – Foundation Course which comprises of 10 credits and 2 Subjects
Part Two – Core Program comes with 60 credits and 6 Subjects
Part Three – Specialization of Subjects comes with 40 credits divided into 4 Specialized subjects
Part Four – Capstone Project which is a reflective research work comprises of 10 credits

Fees

The Master’s program provides an overall idea to the candidates about the relevant approaches and methods used in the field of TESOL.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Master of Education (M.Ed.) with TESOL, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification.
Possess relevant work experience and/or learning credits from prior studies.
Demonstrate basic English proficiency (IELTS 5.0 or equivalent, completion of education in English, or minimum 55% in English at the high school level).
Have basic skills in online research and proficiency in MS Word (preferred but not mandatory).

Prepare a paper on any one topic of by attending a one live online webinar from ACT – 5000 words
Attend any seminar in Education in your region and create a reflective paper on the same – 5000 words
Research Paper on a topic related to TESOL– 5000 words
